· Dublin, Ireland inaugural Morton Memorial track and field meeting: Jamaica's national 400-metre champion, Rosemarie Whyte, captured the women's 400 metres at the this past weekend

· Inter-Collegiate Track & Field Championships at G. C. Foster College Rosemarie White, who was forced to re-run her 400m hurdles after irregularities with the hurdles, won in a faster 59.38 seconds to beat the 1:00.10 UTech's Kaliese Spencer ran for gold in 2007.

National Senior Championships or Olympic Trials 2008

“Whyte, a member of Jamaica's 2002 Carifta Games Under-17 4x400m gold medal winning team, returned to the one-lap event after a five-year absence, during which time she did long jump, triple jump and the heptathlon.

Whyte, who started the season with a personal best of 53.47, improved to 51.71, then 50.05 to surprise many by taking the national 400m title. The performance of Whyte, a former Holmwood student, along with that of Fraser, could be considered as the meet's best”- Gleaner July 5, 2008

2006

· Milo Western Relays at the Catherine Hall Stadium in Montego Bay. – Adrian Frater Photo While the record-breaking performances generated much excitement among the patrons, Holmwood's fantastic 44.88 in the Class One Girls 4x100m took pride of place, as the time run by the quartet of Anastasia Leroy, Rosemarie White, Sonita Sutherland and Schillonie Calvert is the fastest time done by any local girls' high school team.

2004

· Rosemarie White participated in the Long Jump, Heptathlon at 33rd Carifta Games scheduled in Hamilton, Bermuda. She was placed fourth with a jump measuring 6.00m.
