Ayanna grew up in D'abadie Trinidad.

Earned All-WAC honors in the indoor 55 meters and the outdoor 100 meters … finished seventh in the 55 meters at the WAC Indoor Championships … ran a career-best 6.84 in the 55-meter prelims at the WAC meet … finished sixth in the 100 meters at the WAC Outdoor Championships in 11.67 … ran a career-best 11.63 in the 100 to finish second at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine, CA … tallied her first career victory, taking the 100 meters at the Oxy Invitational in 11.89. ECCC: Competed for two years at Essex County Community College in Newark, NJ … led the Wolverines to the NJCAA Championship in 1997 … earned junior college All-America honors in the 55 meters with a best time of 6.79.  

Ayanna personal best in the 100m dash is 11.26 seconds, her best legal time since that 11.26 run is 11.36, clocked at the 2005 National Senior Championships. In 2006, Hutchinson clocked 11.49 seconds, and in 2007, stopped the clocked at 11.51.
