 Barbadian swimmer Terrence Haynes has been a consistent competitor for Barbados at the regional and international level. He has represented the island at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, the 2003 World Games in Barcelona, as well as the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

He is the national record holder in the 50m and 100m freestyle events.

He has been a medallist at the 2004 Caribbean Island Swimming Championships, held in Jamaica, where he won gold in the 4 x 100 m relay with the Barbados team, silver  in the 50m freestyle and and bronze in the 50m breaststroke.

He is based in Toronto, Canada, where he is the 50m freestyle record holder with the Toronto Swim Club.
